Phase 1: From Social Solar Initiative to Entrepreneurial Foundation
(2005 – 2009)
Shri Solar’s journey began in 2005 as a social solar energy initiative with the objective of improving the quality of life in rural and hilly regions through affordable, durable, and practical solar solutions.
- Extensive field visits in remote regions of Uttarakhand helped us understand local energy needs.
- Continuous fieldwork across remote mountainous regions of Uttarakhand

Phase 2: Establishment of Shri Badrinath Vaikalpik Urja & Product Development (2009 – 2013)
In 2009, after resigning from employment,
“Shri Badrinath Vaikalpik Urja” was established.
During this phase, the company focused on product-centric solar solutions with end-to-end capabilities in:

Phase 4: Conversion to Public Limited Company & Solar EPC Transformation (2018 – 2025)In 2018, the company was converted into a Public Limited Company, marking a significant milestone.
During this phase, Shri Solar established itself as a full-fledged Solar EPC company.
